anyone know the specs for the ZZZ cam??

Yup, you read right...ZZZ, not ZZ3 or ZZ4
I used to have this cam in my old 86 IROC. That car is long gone now, but I still have the cam with low miles on it, and want to use it in my 97 TA. IIRC, it had 235/235 duration @ 0.050, and I don't remember the lift, adv. duration, or LSA. Any help is appreciated.
Thanx in advance!

If your refering to GM's first design "ZZ*" cam. the lift is .480"
the lobe separation is 114 and Advertized duration is 336 deg. There advertized durations don't compare to popular aftermarket specs.
Generally "duration @ .004" (Crane) , ".006" (Comp) . As you can
see, even Crane and CompCams, numbers are not comparable.
( measured at different lift points).
You can find out all the specs for a camshaft using a "CamDoctor". Many good speedshops and performance engine builders have one. Basicly you spin ther cam in a fixture, with a measuring probe on a lobe, and the computer prints out the specs
for you. (Cam Card).

Ok, was I right by saying the duration @ 0.050 is 235/235?
I now know the lsa is 114*.
Does anyone know the lift of the cam, net or gross?

thanx again.

by the way - the cam is up at my Grandpa's house in Illinois, so it's not feasible to bring it to a machine shop to get the specs read.

All hydraulic cams run with 0 lash, so the net lift is the same as gross lift and that is .480" with 1.5 rockers. The duration @.050"
is 235.
