What to do next
What to do next
92 camaro rs tbi 305. I have checked for fuel pressure and it's perfect, I have great spark and every ignition component is new. The fuel pump filter regulator relay are all new and the tank and sending unit. Had a mechanic looking at it and he told me there are no vacuum leaks or anything. So I'm stumped trying to figure out the problem. The car turns on but as soon as it's given gas it dies. I was told maybe the iac but the car runs off of starting fluid. So what could be the problem ? The mechanic is still diagnosing but i would like some help from anyone that can give me input at what to look at.

Has he checked the tps ?
If it is the iac sticking open the vacuum leak causes high idle, stuck closed lo indie.

I replaced both of them but I didn't do the reset procedures. Another memember told me if the car is running off of starter fluid that the iac should be fine. Mentioning I didn't reset or fix both correctly could that very well be the problem. And if both were off would I be getting exactly the symptoms I am right now?

Could be a bad map, it would need to be tested.
Any codes ?

A faulty MAP sensor can cause some fuel delivery problems and not turn on the SES light 33,34 malf .
A faulty Icm can cause odd issues as well.

Re: What to do next
So I spoke to another mechanic and he said it might be the vats not letting the car run. That I would have to reprogram the key the computer or something along the lines of that. Is it possible?

Re: What to do next
If it was VATS the starter wouldn't work and it couldn't even try and start. You would just turn the key and get nothing and the security light would stay on

when you look in the throttle body with the car idling, if you give it any throttle it stops spraying fuel?
Re: What to do next
Yes sir, it's like something cuts it off as soon as the car starts. Giving it gas just cuts it even faster. Which is why I'm confused because it has the spark and fuel pressure. Pump is 3 days old and sending unit in it is about a week old. Filter is new and regulator is too. Which is why I'm going nuts cause what more could it be
