Hi Everyone,
Long time lurker. Just wanted to say hello and thanks for all the info, tips and tricks!
Unfortunately, mine hasn't run for... well, too long. Went to 3rd gen expo last month and saw a lot of nice rides and it got me motivated. Came home, went into the garage and started putting together my to do list.
I'm sure I'll have some stupid questions so please be kind lol

Yes Hi, I joined in 2012 but just watched and listened even after I got my 84 in 2014. The site was great for information and advice while I was fixing her up. Just got her 96% finished so at least I can driver her this summer. Welcome

Welcome Aboard!
It's good to have more members in the neighborhood. Post a photo or two if you get a chance so we can recognize our new friends.
I had a new member once. Well, not so much a "new" one but a reattached one... But that's another story for anbother time.

Don't feel bad I've been working on mine for four years now, and it still isn't running.
Actually I've only rode in the car twice since I bought it almost five years ago. Once when it was going on the trailer and once when it was coming off! Take your time and it'll be on the road some day.

Re: New member
Thx guys I appreciate the friendly welcome,

Wow! Gotta stay away from those angle grinders while nekked!
I've owned it for almost 20 years. Most of which I didn't have a garage so anything i wanted done was done by "speed shops." Most of it didn't go very well.
A big concern is the cam. Was told that it was a ".204/.214 something like that." I will get around to changing it but not sure i trust myself enough yet. They also left the 19lb injectors and AWFY prom. A couple years ago I installed 30lb injectors when I swapped the intake manifold. I will go to smaller injectors since more engine mods are on the back burner for now.
Since I can't get a custom prom without more info, will running a stock 350 chip be a problem with 22 or 24# injectors? I read a thread here that said a chip for the smaller engine might not be a bad thing since it wont spray as much fuel.

Not an angle grinder, but a bar feeder on a chucker/screw machine. When it was reattached they K-wired the bone in place, so I still have my member.
The moral of the story... Don't let your partner jog the machine while you're working on it.
