Where is the dipstick port on a newly installed 5.0 305 small block motor for a 86 Pontiac TransAm??????? The original motor has the port hole on the driver side of the motor, however there is no port on this replacement motor to check the oil?????????

The older SBC had the dipstick go into the oil pan, but some older pre 86 blocks have the port on the passenger side

Got stock exhaust manifolds? Because generally the driver's side dipstick will be directly underneath the standard thirdgen exhaust manifolds.

Some engines have the dipstick into the side of the oil pan. I suppose there's probably some combination of mismatched parts where all the dipstick provisions could be plugged or missing.
