Car Won't Idle When Cold

I recently put on headers. Before the headers, my car would start right up and idle strong on it's own. After the header install, my car will start right up, but I have to hold my foot on the gas for about 60 seconds until it warms up a little. This didn't start for a day or so after the headers. Once I drive a couple of blocks, the problem is gone. What could be the problem? I had to remove the smog stuff and the valve covers to install them. However, I'm sure I hooked everything up correctly but this problem remains. I've been told it could be the IAC or the coolant temperature sensor. Can someone help?

Well, I guess I should have checked that. I do have a code, but I didn't try to diagnose it because I assumed it was the oxygen sensor not being installed all the way or not at all. I had trouble threading it in...I fixed that problem today. Anyway, I'll check the codes tomorrow and see what I come up with. Anyone have any ideas what codes I might be looking for?

My 83 Blazer with a 305 swap had this problem. It turned out the IAC was stuck wide open, and just dumping air into the engine. Check that and see if fixing it solves the problem.

Man, am I a dumb@ss. I got under the hood today and took a closer look. I found my coolant temperature sensor completely unplugged and just lying there. I plugged it in...problem solved. Thanks for the responses guys.
