50 miles on a set of pushrods, worth trying to sell?
I have 50 miles on a forged 390 SBC. It had Trickflow roller rockers and Comp Cams Magnum push rods. I am parting the motor out. The push rods were $100 new. Think they are worth listing?

Question is, is it 50 miles of drag racing ( wide open ) or did grandma drive the car for 50 miles. If they were used for racing no I wouldn't: unless you tell the buyer and they are fully aware.

50 miles are grandma miles. I drove the car the speed limit from the dyno shop to my house, 50 miles all under 40 mph in traffic. VERY gently used.

I'm just wondering what the rest of the story is, why are we parting out what sounds like a new motor? Just curious, I've read your build thread.
Pushrods should be fine, just post good pics, 50 miles would not have done much to seat them in to the new lifters and rockers yet.

Post on the classifieds and see.
One of 2 things will happen:
1. Someone will buy them
2. No one will buy them
If #1 happens, then it was worthwhile. (from your point of view at least...) If #2 happens, the ad was free anyway, so you aren't out anything but a few keystrokes.

Motor was totally fine. F1 Procharger (also for sale) was WAY WAY too loud for what I wanted this car to be.
Decided to move to an LS3 and call it a day. This way I can drive it to work everyday if I want. And at night.
No one would buy the motor out together so I am parting it out. Hope to sell the long block as a unit with the cam since it is all together.
Not much else to it. Just took the oil out of the motor, still clear.
I didn't want to deal with adding FI to a SBC when LS3s can be had new from GM for not too much. Just need to move these items to make room for new stuff.
