Car: 88 IROC-Z

Engine: 383 Stroker

Transmission: TH350

can this happen?

I have an MSD distributor and a 6A box. You have to hook a switched 12 volt source to the distributor (the key wire). If this wire has a loose connection or comes apart totally, can it cause the car to die after it has started? Or could it just keep running?
