Hose from Canister

While working under the hood on my car, I noticed a hose that looked like it was coming from my canister, but the other end looked like it was going to run underneath the car towards the fuel tank, but the hose dry rotted and fell apart at both ends, is this the Vapor Return Line that goes from my Canister to back into my Fuel Tank, or is this a vacuum hose for something else? It looks to be too big to be a vacuum hose, but I could be wrong.... Please let me know
