Seized 305 - is it salvageable/worth it?

I'm dealing with a seized 305 in my new project car and have started disassembling it. I guess at this point I'm looking at getting the heads off to see what the cylinders look like and start beating on the pistons.
The guy before me said he had put kerosene in it to break it loose, which I guess didn't work. What are my options at this point if I get to the point i can turn the crank? Will I have to pull the engine and do a full rebuild anyway or can I just clean up the heads, slap em back on and hope it runs?

I don't need it to run well as I'm planning to swap it. Just don't have my donor yet and hope to get it running so I can get it inspected and registered (salvage title) before going into the swap, and maybe even drive it some.

I don't really want to spend a ton, but I don't care to put in the labor to see what's inside and at least attempt to get it back together.

In the past I have had success with pulling the heads and soaking in PB blaster or kroil or marvel mystery oil or all 3. Good luck although I would not put much money into it.

At most I wouldnt care to spend what I need for new gaskets to put it back together. I definitely don't want to get into replacing internals or having anything machined.

If I get it to rotate, do I need to worry about the condition of the cylinder walls? anything I can do to resurface or clean them up without pulling the engine if they are rusty and crusty?

Not too much you can do, you might be able to use a ball hone or maybe sand down some ridges. You cant really take off too much

Pop the heads and see what you find. If you are really going to ditch the motor soon see whats up worst case is you find it is completely gone and waste time.

probably won't have the new engine for a bit, but it doesnt run anyway so I'll just keep digging into it and see what I find. At the very least it'll be easier to push around my driveway the more pieces I remove.

Will update when I get the heads off. Got a can of PB blaster so I'll go to town on whatever I find and see what happens.
