pressure testing fuel tank?

hey folks, does anyone have any thoughts on how to pressure test the fuel tank (preferably a kit i can purchase)? I had repaired the tank filler neck about a decade ago, but had to drop it to do the fuel pump recently. I am unsure if i broke the soldering on the tank or not, and want to test the tank before dropping it again since the car stinks up the garage of raw fuel if i fill the tank above 3/4 full.
thanks in advance!

Re: pressure testing fuel tank?

Why waste time testing it if you already know it is leaking?

The tank has a pressure relief valve (which oten is not functional due to age).

Consider cleaning the pressure relief valve as a first priority.

Then drop the tank if its still stinking up the place.

is that the white valve near the rear axle? and i'm not certain its leaking from the gas tank. But i have had the filler neck repaired before, so i'm not sure if i broke it again. Thank you.

If you have a small crack at the filler-neck/tank junction, don't be too proud to apply a generous JB-Weld patch on the leaking area.
