Headlight gear 88 trans am
I have a 88 trans am but my headlight on my passenger side will not go up, i know that my gear is stripped and my motor does work because when you turn the lights on, the tuning **** spins freely, my question is how do i get the headlight out even though it wont go up. i already have a rebuild kit for it as well with the gear and bushings. Thanks

Lift and turn? When the motors are toast, you can usually lift the headlight doors. Nothing else, remove the two brackets from the top of the rad support, and the two from under the front bumper, and the entire headlight assembly lifts out.

my headlight motor is fine, it's just the gear that stripped out inside so it won't allow me to lift up on the headlight

You can spin the **** on top of the motor while lifting on it. It probably is just needs the rod bumped to unlock and then it should lift right up if the gear is striped.
