Poor Acceleration and Oil Consumption
Hey guys,
Ive got an 89 firebird formulaTBI 305 automatic. The other day I noticed my oil was dangerously low, and my car has been leaking oil, but not terribly fast, and so I added enough oil to fill it back up the dipstick. Just today I noticed a burning oil smell and my car threw two codes, code 44 and 32. Keep in mind I do have a CAT delete which I believe to be the cause of the code 44. But I checked my MAP sensor (because that could be an issue with code 32) and it tested fine with a multimeter. And about 6 months ago I had tested my EGR valve, and that was good then too. My PCV valve also tested OK, I used the notecard over oil cap method. And I was driving today and my get up and go off the line was very sluggish. And for giggles I tested my 0-60 which was almost 2 seconds slower than normal. Any ideas for me to try?
Just for reference all the new parts I have installed include:
-Fuel pump and filter
-Plugs, wires, cap, rotor
-Water pump
-Altenator

What did your plugs look like when you changed them? Have the valve seals ever been replaced? Usually a good spot to check when you're mysteriously losing oil.

Plugs were changed about 5-6 months ago, car was stored over winter, plugs looked fine but the oil burning issue and acceleration is new, valve seals have not been replaced to my knowledge, bought the car a little over a year ago.
