LS3 with aftermarket blower, or LSA
Like the title says, what is better?
Car will be used for cruising, car shows, and maybe an auto x event once or twice a year.
Looking into cost effectiveness, reliability, and easy setup. I think that sounds like the LSA is the way to go, but looking for opinions.

I like a centrifugal with a big intercooler. Depends on how much power you need. Lsa works good and makes alot of power but may be more prone to heat soak. But cant beaf the cost of the complete serup. I would just tryto upgrade the intercooled system somehow
i should add the lsa type or whipples are instant power. I love the feel of my friends 800 whp 416 ls3 stroker with a tvs 2300 i think he has now.

Re: LS3 with aftermarket blower, or LSA
Thanks for the input. I am thinking a healthy target is around the 600 rwhp range for what I want to do with the car. If it ends up being a bit lower, I think that is ok too.
I figure the LSA allows me to drop it all in on day one, then drive the car, pay off the credit card, and then in a year or so turn up the wick with a pulley or something .
Thoughts?

I think the highest i have seen was around 700 whp. Cam head work and pulley setup so thats about all you will get. 600 is easy with mild cam and pulley, maybe pulley only but not sure

Right, I have searched ZL1 forums and found guys making 600+ RWHP with just a pulley swap.
I tried to compare dyno graphs from the pullied motor to other blowers, but finding "apples" to "apples" is basically impossible.
I think the LSA since it is a factory setup might hold up to high miles and last longer with less issues since it is less "custom". But who knows.
