Transmission speed gear housing broke
Transmission speed gear housing broke
So i was installing a new intellitronix dash today. Putting on the new speed sender on the back of the xmsn, and the gear housing broke off right at the bottom of the threads. Went around to auto zone, napa, and advanced auto parts, and the local junk yard, and cant for the life of me find a new gear housing. And ill end up ordering one online, but i cant find anything online for it. If it helps, its a mechanical sender, electric
Re: Transmission speed gear housing broke
What you need to know is the year/model of the car, and the tooth count of the driven gear. There are two different "sleeves" depending upon the tooth count. You might have to replace the driven gear also, since there are a couple different types. Some have the stem as a molded plastic part of the gear, and others have a gear with a D hole that slips on a metal shaft.
