HELP need gasket part numbers

hey Guys im having trouble trying to find a valley cover gasket (or is there another name for it?) for my 89 iroc (5.7 l98 tpi) would anyone out there have a part no. or even a picture of one just to make sure i get the right one before pulling the old girl apart,also the inlet gaskets to suit the injected model,has anyone replaced the valley cover gasket and have any pointers ,just bought the beast and love it

There is no "valley cover" on a small block chevy. The valley is covered by the intake manifold. You need intake manifold gaskets. The china wall is done with RTV. You will also need a full intake plenum/runner gasket set. There are many youtube videos on doing intake gaskets on the SBC. The TPI system is lots of fun to dissasemble - it uses torx fasteners and you will want to invest in some 1/4 drive torx sockets and wobblys. I personally like to swap out the torx bolts for stainless Allen bolts so I can use ball-tipped Allen sockets.

after weeks on the computer i did finally work out as you said there is no valleycover as such,im not up with the lingo is the china wall where you said about the rtv is that at each end?,i see on the ealier years they had a rubber gasket

Don't try to use the rubber gaskets on the China wall (yes it's on the front and back). Those gaskets suck and are for suckers. Just use RTV.
