Electrical issues

87 iroc 305/carb
Volt and temp gauges arent working. Fuse is good and getting power to cluster,as I have taken the actual gauge out of cluster, and checked with a test light. No power to alternator plug. Anything help/advice would be greatly appreciated

For the temp sensor. You can ground the green wire at the sender. The sender is in the drivers side head between cylinder 1 & 3. If the gauge pegs the wiring is good and you have a bad sender.

What would be the Energizer wire out of the plug, the tan wire or tan/white wire!?
