Oil Pan Question
Oil Pan Question
on a motor swap,, do i need to worry bout the oil pan hitting the axel?? engine is a 355 from a 1972 corvette, its going in a 84 TA. will i run into clearance issues?

You might have a problem if you don't have enough reach with the puller going in from the front.
That was the only problem I had, when installing a 350 w/7 quart kickout pan, and tranny on the engine.
I know now to leave a little more chain from hook to the puller.
Just lower down in there, and start going around taking a looksee. Just analyze from there.
You see that I don't have enough chain at the top. This install was a turd !!! But It cleared the crossmember, after some patience.
