From what I've heard removing the smog pump is worthwhile. I don't have to worry about inspection, because I buy my stickers. How do you remove the smog pump. Any opinions would be helpful.

 

basically, disconnect all hoses associated with it, cap off hoses hat go onto other things, unbolt smog pump and take it out. then get non smog headers or just cap off the air tubes in your exhaust manifolds. pretty simple. then go buy different belts
