Looking for some clarity......

I have a 1985 Pontiac Trans Am - 305 V8 L69 Engine Code G - PR removed all AC components.

I put on a replacement chrome alternator 2 years ago when the original died.

This weekend the alternator/fan belt - belt was two years old and very little mileage (less than 500 miles).

Still looking into if I have an alignment issue or problem stemming from the pulley on the new alternator.

The issue I am having is finding the right belt for replacement. I had a Dayco 15445 Top Cog Belt on it when it broke.

Reading another thread on this site Dayco 43-9356 GM part number 10038288 which has belt dimensions of .380 x 44.292 inches.

The Dayco belt I had on it had dimensions of .44 x 44.5 inches.

Anyone know what the real specs or part should be?

Re: Alternator Belt
Thanks- that is what I wanted to confirm. The specs on your belt specifically the .380 width).

I pumped in your GM part number and unfortunately it shows as discounted on the GM parts site and sold out on eBay.

i did find a bando belt with same specs on amazon for $17 so I ordered it but won’t be delivered until June 25, so still looking for another one.
