Starter/motor identification ??

So I got a severely neglected 84z28 without t tops and apparently the only other issue is that the starter bolt broke off when trying to replace starter, well I’m not mechanically inclined at all , barely even able change brake pads, so I had a friend remove the starter and went to advance auto and got a new starter according to my vin, well returned the old starter during this process for a 12 dollar core which seeing as how I’m drowning financially and long story short I need this vehicle running and as cheaply as possible for a daily driver, well apparently my motors been swapped at some point because the starter holes aren’t aligning up probably and my fly wheel size is 168 I believe and that’s about all I know.... so yeah I looked for other threads with this topic but didn’t find anything that helped me figure this issue out, what do I do now? Advance auto says they can’t give me a starter unless I know what motor my car was swapped with and I don’t know how to tell which abc is there any recommendations on what my next step is? I’ve returned the starter 3 times because two different people I’ve had attempt to fix it said it was wrong starter. I’m desperate fellas they won’t return this starter anymore after this and welll I can’t afford anything else financially, I’ve tried borrowing money for a legit mechanic and well I don’t have the ability to magically make money and the possibility’s of getting help are zero.

I appreciate your help in advance btw

Re: Starter/motor identification ??

Does the block have a straight bolt pattern, or are the bolt holes staggered?

Re: Starter/motor identification ??

As you may have noticed by the picture the starter that came off had broke a bolt during the removal. The side by side holes for the record
