different EGR after swapping trans?
different EGR after swapping trans?
I want to replace my EGR valve to try and pass emissions and I have the OEM part number from the dealer. However, when I went to order it, the widget on the website said the OEM part works for my car if I have an automatic transmission, but not if I have a T5. (The widget also includes an M39 transmission, which says it fits, and an MK9, which says it doesn't fit). Why does transmission make a difference? If it does, which EGR valve do I need?

Re: different EGR after swapping trans?
My parts book is showing
LB9 /M39 uses 17112331
LB9/MK6 uses 17112239
LB9/MD8 uses 17112240
Why it makes a difference I sure don't know.
