MAF sensor installation question.

I am trying to install a new MAF sensor in my 1987 GTA. I removed the air filter box and the plastic intake. So the only thing left is the air intake side of the MAF sensor. I can not figure out for the life of me whats holding it on. Looks like black/greenish ring? The MAF is just a round end with no lip it's very confusing and I don't want to force and break something. Any ideas on how I get the MAF sensor off?

Re: MAF sensor installation question.

Remove the airfilter housing with the maf and then you'll see the maf clamp and how its held on. It's ment to be a semi permanent thing but the crimp can be carefully expanded, unhooked and put back together.

Re: MAF sensor installation question.

The clamp is a Oetiker one ear stepless clamp 87.5. It is a one use only clamp so you can use this information to order a new clamp. I just ordered 5 and when they come in I will follow-up on this forum to summarize fit, quality, OEM look
