Headlight Motor Electrical Issue
Need some guidance. On my 1984 Firebird the left headlight motor is fried. Checked the relay and the motor itself. I’ve read many repair posts dealing with the gears and have repaired the gears on my C4 Vette but this is not gear problem. I’m unable to find any rebuilt motors. If I get one from another year, 1988 for example, can the electrical end be converted to work? Any ideas?

Search at Rock Auto
Of course I effed up the link , , but , if you go to rock auto and search your 1984 headlight motor you'll find that for less than $100 they will rebuild your motor . It appears you have to send the motor to them to be rebuilt VS a core type of thing , but at least this IS an option that should get you a good motor for reasonable money ...
