Thanks. I guess I should have been a little more specific. I'm looking for a picture of the fuel line installed on the engine...

Re: Pump To Carb Fuel Line...

Unfortunately mine cracked and had to be replaced about 30 yrs ago.

What part are you particularly concerned about? Maybe we can help you solve whatever you want to solve by some other means.

Okay, I have a brand-new fuel line just like the one in the picture above, and I certainly know how to put threaded compression fittings on.
I don't remember how the original line was routed. This new one fits only if it is is run between the water pump and timing cover. Is this correct? I guess I could have made it easier by asking this in the first place, but I like visual aids....

Re: Pump To Carb Fuel Line...

naf is correct; both routings were used.

Seems like my 83's original one went behind the WP as well. I seem to recall dumb-a$$ing out on myself one time and having to take the WP back off to put the line back on after doing something or other to it.

Whichever one fits your line to your car, is probably the one it was designed for.

Compression fittings are a REAL BAD idea on fuel lines.

Re: Pump To Carb Fuel Line...

Maybe "compression" isn't the right word. They're double flare fittings like brake lines...

All L69 Third Gens I've Seen At Car Shows/Cruises Had The Fuel Line Behind The Water Pump, My Car Included.

Re: Pump To Carb Fuel Line...

Yeah, there's a world of difference between an inverted double flare fitting, and a compression one...
