Having trouble with 1991 firebird tpi 3.1 L v6 any help?
Well I bought this firebird for 1200 not that many miles the guys said it needed a alternator long story short we almost got home it suddenly stopped I kept pushing the gas pedal but no power do we ghetto towed it to my place and I've a fuel line which was leaking the fuel filter spark plugs wires it ran better after I replaced the filter and line but now everytime I can get it on and running and I press the gas pedal it completely dies.

I see it's your first post, so welcome to TGO, but man you should considering re-doing your post to make it a bit more legible. Also, if you have a V6, it isn't a TPI. As for your issue, do you have an engine light on? If so, start by pulling whatever codes are stored. If you just changed the plugs and wires, I'd also go through and double check that you didn't miss-match any wires, and that they're all pushed on all the way. Does the car backfire sometimes when you try to give it gas? When it shuts off, does it start right back up? Does it idle well?

Check engine light? Assuming there is one, start with pulling the codes

Replacement of the ecm is easy.
disconnect the battery
remove the two screws that holds in the ecm holder
. The ecm case holder bracket is under the dash on the passengers side under the dash speaker.
disconnect the ecm plugs.
remove the access cover on the ecm and rock back the white and blue tabs to release the memcal.
the memcal needs to be swapped into the new ecm.
90-92 3.1l you will have a 1227730 ecm
just a guess this is causing the check engine light .
if you are in the states I have one for $65 shipped if interested send me a pm.
there is always eBay and RockAuto.com for replacement ecms.
