53 cc aluminum heads on stock motor
If I have a 1992 5.7 L98, TPI, with all stock parts and stock Iron heads
and..
place a set of aluminum heads that have been angle milled to 53cc
What would my compression ration be, and would these numbers work for ta street/ strip car ?
Thanks for any help, I'm not sure if these will work for me before i bite the bullet and put them on.
I guess, I'm wondering about the down falls. Thanks

Don't forget, when you angle mill heads, all of the other cooresponding angles change also.
At a minimum, your intake manifold must be machined to match the new angles.
Then the distributor may sit too low when clamped down and bind the oil pump.
Your pushrods could bind in the double-D slots. The headers might not fit anymore because that angle changed.
There are many other things to consider.
If you want to raise your compression, just get heads with a smaller combustion chamber and set your deck clearance to .040" with the proper head gasket.
Here is more automotive calculators than you will use in your whole lifetime: http://www.wallaceracing.com/Calculators.htm

Wow, Thank u a ton..I was looking at buying these heads but was afraid they would not work with the 53 cc.. but then i was like no big deal i could use a thick gasket to fin tune that problem..and that was before you brought up all the other possible problems..The guy who is selling these heads is also selling the lower intake separately, I asked him the same thing ,if the intake had been milled / cut or otherwise modified to fit the heads correctly but he said no it had not been changed in any way..sounds like he is dead wrong,,right? I wonder how these would fit on my TPI, l98 5.7 car

Sounds like somebody "always heard" that "all the fast cars" have angle-milled heads to raise their compression, and thought he'd ruin a set the same way.
Pass. Let The Greater Fool troll craigslist instead of you, and learn HIS lesson the hard way. You just learned it the EASY way.
