when do u replace the pigtails?

when do u replace the stock pig tails for the IAC valve.. my car is at high idle and i never replaced the IAC valve. Im looking at buying ( ACDELCO 217437 {#25527077} MFI; USED W/ 12085506 ) and it says it used with 12085506 so does that mean i gotta change both parts?

Re: when do u replace the pigtails?

Shouldn't require any wiring changes. You should first set minimum idle air and TPS voltage before you load up the parts cannon.

Stock is fine. Also they can be cleaned. It's just a stepper motor with a threaded pintle. Clean and lube the threads.
