So Today, I replaced my Idle Air control Valve. Because my car would be idling funny when first started up.

this has bin an issue with my car. 2 weeks after I bought. this car is starting to make me VERY ANGRY. I replaced the IAC valve. and now. the car cant barely drive without mashing the gas. I am almost ready to set this thing on fire and say goodbye to it. And get it the f**k out of my life. Does nayone know why this would be after replacing it.

 

I'm not an expert on the fuel injection on these cars, but I'd look at the air-flow sensor, (MAP/MAF). Horribly rough idle can point in that direction.

I'd also check your timing.

 

You probably didn't reset the ECM and go through the idle relearn procedure after replacing the IAC. Or test for vacuum leaks. And it probably should have a tune up if you haven't done that yet, either.

 

Try what mav. said. I replaced my IAC before and didnt do the relearn.....and it actually made it worse. Once I did the relearn, my problems went away.

Also mines a automatic, I know those need that relearn proceedure.

 

Yea. I tried the relearn 10 minutes after posting this. Worked. Car idles fine. but NOW. 3 days after car running fine. car seems to shake/rumble (idle kinda studders) quite a bit. when hitting 1750+ rpm when goin 30k or lower. I'm guessing that might be a timing issue.

 

checked for vacuum leaks?

 

No. I'll have that checked over though.
