Oil Pressure Switch Terminals

The previous owner has installed a oli pressure switch with 3 pins.
As far as i know both LG4 and LU5 blocks in 1982 shared the same oil switch. One pin switch in gold.
Is it possible he installed a switch used in later models but possible to use still in early models?
That is my concern.
Now the biggest problem is that i tried to buy a new one GM stock but the neck is larger and it wont fit.
My old switch is on the right
The new wrong switch is on the left.
Some say there is an adapter which can be used to install the wrong neck switch.
Do you know the dimensions it must have?

The new one i bought is on the left (see the blue line) while the old one is on the right.

Yasu Katrav8 , I guess the first question I'll need to ask is ; On your car , how many wires are connecting to the unit , one or three ?
If it's only one , then you can use "the stock according to catalogs in LG4-LU5 1982" , but if it's three you will need to use the unit with the three connections . If you have the room for an adapter any hardware store worth it's nuts & bolts should have those adapters , and in fact I'd bet any decent autoparts store would be able to help with an adapter as well . I realize your in Greece and not the US so such stores aren't as plentiful as in the US , but having spent a good amount of time in Greece (In a town called Voula) myself I always found what I needed mechanical parts wise with a bit of patient searching .

I had a friend in a radio repair shop that used to give me info on where to get mechanical parts locally , I don't know if he's still around , but if he is the guy is really great for knowing where to find parts for all kinds of things .
