If memory serves, that cam is ENTIRELY inappropriate for TPI. I seem to recall also that it wasn't a roller. Post the specs to be sure.
Be aware also, you will get NOWHERE NEAR 420 HP if you leave TPI on it. That's fantasy land. You MIGHT get an honest 325 out of it but even that is kinda iffy.

Well, TPI is TPI; either it is or it isn't. So there's no other TPI intake besides TPI.
Most people, when they want to free themselves of its limitations, use something like the Holley Stealth Ram or the MiniRam. But there are other options as well, those are just 2 popular ones.
Post the cam specs.

The cam isn't "bad"; just, not appropriate to an EFI motor, unless some serious tuning effort is put forth. And PARTICULARLY NOT for TPI, which requires specific properties of the cam to optimize its "tuned" (the T in TPI) effects. The tuning of course isn't "impossible", but getting it to ever run right WILL BE without it.

Re: Trick flow top end kit 5.7
a prime candidate for an LS swap

This is 2020, not 1995.
A nicely outfitted truck 6.0 would BEND YOUR MIND. Just straight outta the truck, as-is, with headers, is almost that, without any further effort. Not hard to get a LQ9 close to 500 HP with good CNC head porting and an appropriate cam.
OTOH, if you want to stick with the old SBC, you can get reasonably close to 400 with the TF kit, a more appropriate roller EFI cam like maybe the Comp "305" grind https://www.summitracing.com/parts/cca-08-305-8, and a Stealth Ram.
And also, you probably have some kinda crappy gear like 2.73, and a stock converter. You can MULTIPLY the fun factor of the car SEVERAL TIMES OVER without even opening the hood, by fixing those 2 items. In fact anything you do under the hood will be a waste without them. Those 2 things, plus exhaust all the way from the heads to the street, should be done BEFORE any engine work. Which of course the "420 HP" rating sort of neglects to mention... you don't HONESTLY think that is with stock manifolds and restrictive coffee-stirrer exhaust, now do you? How many of those horsepuckers do you suppose the stock exhaust exhaust ALONE would cork up? My guess would be AT LEAST 75, and it could be even more.
