What would you guess is the horsepower of a stock 350 tpi, now machined to a 383?

Re: What is horsepower of 383 tpi?

A 350 was "rated" at 230 HP; so the same motor - same cam, heads, intake, exhaust, tune, everything else - MIGHT do 240 as a 383, "rated" the same way. Would depend a great deal on what pistons were used (compression). It'd have a good bit more torque at lower RPMs though; probably 8% or so more than what it had as a 350, below 3000 RPM or thereabouts. Maybe would start to peter out even lower than that.
