Odometer Going Way Too Fast

Hi all, hope this isn't a repeat of a common problem..

My odometer is racking up miles really really fast.. a twenty mile trip registered about two hundred miles by the time I was home.
I have a 1985 Z28.. wondering if anyone knows what the problem could be and how to go about fixing it?

Should also add that the speedo and everything else gauge-wise is working.

Any help would be much appreciated,
Thanks.

Re: Odometer Going Way Too Fast

If the speedomoter is functioning normally, the most likely problem is a mechanical issue within the speedo head.
