Need Help Identifying Wires

I found these wires laying on the headers melting. I have no clue what they could be for but they are in the big wire harness heading towards the transmission area. I tried to fit my phone to get a photo of the harness it's in, but could not angle it good enough.

Re: Need Help Identifying Wires

Not factory. Cheeeeeeeeeeeep fragile soft melty PVC insulation. That's all something aftermarket / PO installed. No way in Hell anybody out here is going to be able to guess what some HACK was pretending to do when s/he put that in there and then burned it to a crisp.

Follow em and see where they go. That's your only hope. Might be an alarm system, something about a stereo, remote starter, under-car neon lights, exhaust cutout, electric fuel pump, ... the possibilities are endless.

Perfect, once it's not a factory wire I don't really care then. I think they might be for the transbrake but all that stuff is coming out anyway
