Buzzer only shuts off when the door is closed??

Buzzer only shuts off when the door is closed??
I just did a steering column swap and now the buzzer goes off constantly until you close the door. If I recall, it didn't do that before.
Any ideas??

That's what it's supposed to do, except, only when the key is in.
Sounds like the little contacty thing in the column that the key hits when you put it in, is fornicated, or possibly just not hooked up right. Prolly the result of some kind of sodomy perpetrated by some PO of the column.
