how do you get to the fan switch?

do you take it out by coming from underneath the car or by stickin ur hand through the AIR tubes and stuff from the top. and do you really HAVE to drain the coolant?

top, no it's just not as messy if you drain it first.

Assume you're talking about the fanswitch in the pass side head? I did mine from underneath, don't thihnk I could have gotten to it from the top.

If you have the new switch ready, as soon as the old one is out, stab the new one and screw it in. You'll lose a little bit of coolant, but not much.

It was much easier for me to get to the switch from the bottom of the car. And no, you don't have to drain the coolant, but a good amount will spill out of there if you don't. (Or, if you're really quick and can get the new switch in place quickly enough...) Either way, wear goggles just in case.
