Switchable PROMs?
I'm putting a 357 in my 1986 Firebird with the stick TOI on it and was wondering if anyone had ever made an apparatus to switch tunes from an economy tune to a performance tune if you had 2 PROM chips and a board between them that would allow you to swap between the two, obviously with the car off, and then restart it in a different tune. Has it been done before? Is it even feasible? Or do you meed to have boost to be able to vary a tune like that with any effectiveness? No plans to actually do it at the current time but I do feel like it would be a fun little experiment.
