Time to change my plugs? With pictures.

Hello,

My car is a 383 stroker, not a daily driver - in fact, it barely gets driven at all. I typically drive it once a week, usually for 30-40 minutes. I try to make sure to get a mix of highway and street time during my drives.

The plugs in the car have been there since 2013, but only have roughly 2,500 miles on them. I pulled one today and snapped some photos of it, see attached. I know it's only one, but they are a pain to get out with the headers on, and I didn't want to pull all of them until I have a plan in place, including the new plugs.

I'm leaning towards swapping them out but wanted some other opinions. Also, based on this one plug, does the heat range look correct?

I think they look real decent, but does look like you are sucking a little oil-probably through the PVC,possibly trough seeping valve guide seals.I'd stick them back in and run them.

I'd pull another plug and check.

These plugs are NGK. I pulled a second one from the other side of the motor, and it looked about the same or maybe even slightly better.

However...I also read that Amazon had a problem with counterfeit NGK plugs, and if I remember correctly I think I bought these from Amazon. So, over the winter I'm going to swap them out for AC Delcos.

Whatever you put in, apply some Anti Seize to the threads. Just a bit and do not get it on the electrodes. A little Silicone Dielectric grease, on in the plug wire boot, spark plug end. (You may already know this).
