Hood Stuck
anyone now how to fix the hood latch. When I pull the hood latch from the inside. Nothing happens. I can feel the tension on the cable thou. This has turned into a two person job. One person pulling the latch from the inside. Then Ill go to the drivers side of the hood and keep pulling up and pushing down on it till it opens.

Re: Hood Stuck
Open the hood and adjust the striker, they can move over time and cause various issues. You can usually tell they've moved because you'll see little circles where the bolts used to sit. Just loosen them, move back to that point, and tighten them down good.
Also good to oil the latch assembly.

Re: Hood Stuck
Pull the hood latch release cable and thump the hood with your other fist. The hood will magicly open. Now you can adjust the hood latch mounting location +/- and grease it too. Your door hinges and latch lock mechanizims probabily need lube too.

Re: Hood Stuck
Nothing seemed to worked for my '91 RS, including hitting the hood (I now have several nice dents in it as a result). Opens every time though, if you try lifting it from the passenger's side. Will not open if you try lifting it from the middle, or the driver's side for some reason.
