Temp gauge moves wrong way
1988 Camaro 305 TPI.
Instead of the gauge moving up from 100 to the 220 range, it moves down until the needle hits its travel limit.
It was working properly a few days ago so it was capable at some point.
Typical testing (green sender wire to ground, needle pegs to 260+) shows opposite of what it should do.
Now, it's green sender wire to ground, the needle drops below 100 to its travel limit.
Crank and warm up engine, needle travels south at a normal rate until it hits its limit below 100.
My best guess is bad gauge since it started overnight.
All other gauges on that ground circuit function properly, plus no wiring work has been done.
Any ideas??
