87 Carbureted 305 sputtering at acceleration

Hello all, please excuse the long post.
I recently got the ol’ Camaro back on the road. Ram about 1500 miles with no problems. On the way to work, rpm started fluctuating, similar to a torque converter issue. Went away after a couple minutes. Went to work, and it ran fine. Started and ran fine most of the way home (in traffic). Tried to accelerate when traffic thinned, and it started bucking like crazy. Was able to slowly accelerate up to speed. Parked it for 2 days, changed to fuel filter, and took for ever to start. This vehicle has always fires right up. Got started, took for a spin, and bucking is still there. Still hard to start and has rough idle now for a minute then smooths out. Seems to be running rich at idle now as well. Seem like the symptoms are very similar to what Fuel injected guys have with bad maf. Anyone have any ideas??

I had a bad spark plug. Changed plugs/wires and it’s good to go.

Sometimes it's just that simple. I went through a sudden, similar issue (plus backfiring) a few weeks back in my '86 LG4 TA and after thinking "FOR SURE" it was carb-related, turned out ignition wire #1 had come loose.
