Re: 350 carb setup

If you have a mechanical pump why not use that and simply disable the electric pump the fuel will flow right through the electric pump being pulled by the mechanical pump the other option would be to skip the mechanical pump and use a regulator to drop the electric pumps pressure down to 5-7psi that should work pretty good ive done that on a few projects and it worked great good luck

Re: 350 carb setup

Why not just put the TBI on the "new" motor and send it?

Re: 350 carb setup

My recommendation: Put a regulator on and be done with it.

If you use a mechanical pump with no "pusher" pump feeding it you're most likely going to run into vapor lock issues.

Re: 350 carb setup

Why leave the carb on it and fight that whole conversion hassle? Why do ANY extra unnecessary work? Not saying that's necessarily the case; butt if you don't HAVE TO use the carb, but could just bolt on the existing TBI instead, why not?

Re: 350 carb setup

Because the OP might not see it as a hassle.

Re: 350 carb setup

I'm asking the OP, not you.

Let him make that call.

If he doesn't know what it takes to make that swap, it just might be.

Re: 350 carb setup

I wonder what the OP's plan for ignition timing is?
