simple problem

Here's a simple problem. How do you unplug the wires to the knock sensor? I have a 89 5.7 GTA . I would rather ask then break something. Thanks

89,

The electrical connector for the detonation sensor has a barbed plastic insulating sleeve surrounding the contact pin. The white plastic sides of the female connector on the wiring harness have to be squeezed together to release the lock tabs from the barb. The female connector squeezes easily in one direction to allow removal. If the connector does not flex easily, rotate your grip 90° and try squeezing in a different direction to release the connector body.
