700R4 Trans - Selector Shaft Seal

April 2023, I had a leaking selector shaft seal replaced as it was leaking. 10 months later, the replacement is leaking. I paid a lot of money for the work.
I believe that the installer failed to file the 4 sharp edges on the 1st step on the shaft & did not know the procedure to get past the 2nd step similar edges.
Changing this seal on a Fbird or Camaro of this vintage involve I think of removing, at least, the trans mounting rubber block & dropping the trans downward, as there is no room as it sits to r/r.
The orig seal lasted almost 40 years before failure due to only being 21000 miles on the car & thus lack of use.
Anyone done this job themselves?
Shop wants to have look and I will do so.
check this video & u will see the procedure
