New and old PS coolers. Tripled the size and volume for better heat control.

I upgraded my power steering/hydroboost system with a remote reservoir with dual returns and larger cooler. I was having issues with decreasing power assist as heat built up and the hydroboost was not releasing properly due to back pressure from a teed return to the reservoir. I haven’t tested it on the track yet, so I will update with results in the future.

I used the Holley reservoir, its also a nice piece with dual returns.

Those brackets came out really nice.

Re: PS reservoir

That came out good. I did something similar w my power resi. It starts to get really cramped under the hood of these cars really quick. I did the same thing for my wiper fluid resi as well.

where'd you mount the cooler? My trans am didn't have a bunch of good options after the IC was put in.

I also looked at the Holley reservoir, but went with the PSC unit because it is larger (more volume) and has a larger vent. I found that the Hydoboost does not like any pressure in the reservoir above atmospheric. The PSC reservoir also has a filter on the primary return to diminish any foaming.

Thanks, they were a PITA because the OEM tank pads are all at different angles so nothing is square and for someone with OCD it was a lot of math to figure them out.
