Guideplates / Studs

Do you guys have any tricks or secrets when the stud is too close to the head bolt? I cant fit a socket over either one, since they are too close to each other. Am i gonna have to hammer in the socket? I cant get enough leverage with an open end or crow's foot

take the guide plates off first, then if you want you can grind them for socket clearance. you might be able to gring the end of a socket to clear it but there would be a good chance of breaking a socket too.
