!992 rs vats problems?

Hey guys ive had an issue with my car and not sure what to do now. Its had a resistor on it and it worked all last year and just started to act up there would be no crank and no dash only lights and radio so i jumped the starter relay thing behind the hood pop and it works and my car dosnt have an ecm because i took it out when i did my motor swap and went to mechanical fuel pump with a msd ign but when I jumped the relay it would crank and start but no gadges everthing else works though my fuse is good for the gadge cluster. I checked the restor before i jumped the relay and its still right for the key but when i splice it into the wires the resistant would jump to a higher number im not sure if that would change anything but i would think that the dash would work and there would be a security light but there's nothing. also the relay is still good I tested it. im at a lost with it any thing would help thank you.

use the search bar at the top, as this is answered many times.

But, if i remember correctly, behind the drivers kick panel is the main 'harness' for the vats. jump the 10 or 12 gauge wires together and never have another issue.

But im going off of memory, so do some research on it..

I dont have any gauges all the time and i dont have any crank unless i jump the two heavier wires on the starter stop relay behind the driver side kick panel

do you know where that forum would be at I can't seem to find one there's one that talks about grounding a wire at rather the starter enable relay or the vats module is that what your talking about?
