AIR pump

Alright, I've removed my air pump, but now what. I've heard you can basically take all of the pipes off, but will this do anything really bad to my car. What will be the effects of not plugging the pipes, and how much can you actually take off. Thanks

I've taken everything off mine except the pipe that connects the left and right side exhaust purgers only because I cant get it out.
is it possible to remove this without pulling the engine?

Alright, I think I"m to the air diverter valve, and there are 2 electric connectors on it. Can I just disconnect those? Or am I pulling off the wrong component. My a/c and air components seem almost linked, and I don't want to accidently depressurize my a/c. Does anyone have a pic of their engine that has done all the work? Thanks
