Sorry, Yet another Cam Question...

I know I beat this to death before, but I didn't realize the Crane Cams come with lifters, which would save me about $50.
I was wondering how much HP or 1/4 time I would sacrifice if I got the Crane Energizer Cam 274H 274* adv duration with a gross lift of .450 . Rpm range 2k-5500.

I was going to get the Comp XE268 w/.477/.480 lift. But it is $50 more after I buy Summit lifters.

Which would be a better deal performance and cost being a factor.

IIRC the Comp CL kit (cam & lifters) is priced similarly to the Crane kits.

Between those 2 particular products, the Comp is far superior to the Crane one. I would pay the $50 in a heartbeat; considering the total expense of such a project, I would not risk that much time and work over that little money. And of course I think it's not really that much anyway.

The Comp Kit is $160 where as the Crane is $77. I was just going to buy the Summit lifters.
But if you say the Crane isn't as good as the Comp, I'll take your word, I know $50 isn't much when you consider all the work involved, I just wasn't sure how much better the Comp would be.
Thanks.

That seems like a lot of duration and not a lot of lift for that crane to me. My comp is the emmisions-compliant one and it has 268* adv dur with .454" gross lift. Go with the xtreme energy, the only reason I didn't is because of emmisions and the fact that when I ran it through desktop dyno, it gave me a lot less low end torque and only a spike in peak hp (a big one, but I'd probably never hit it with my setup).
