Giving up my thirdgen

Hey, ya'll. I've been thinking about parting out my '85 Berlinetta. I made a mistake by buying it in the first place. It's a basketcase. I've had it for a year, and put about 25 miles on it, including the ride home. I'm torn between an '82 Camaro and a 70's 4x4 chevy. I like the trucks because it's designed for a big block, and there's acres of room around a small block. The reason I'm getting rid of the Camaro is that I lost oil pressure in my 2wheel drive truck, and had a new engine in the camaro. So I took it out and put it in the truck. I've put headers and a catback in the car, so I hate to lose that money, and that's why I'm thinking about the 82. The '85 I have now is also rusty.

Now for the tech angle of this most: for ease of maintainence and modification, which way will I come out better, 82 camaro or 70's pickup?

Also, does anybody know of a site like this one for 72 - 87 Chevy pickups? I've looked at coloradok5.com, but I guess this board has me spoiled, and theirs doesn't even come close to the quality or quantity of posts and replies. Well, thanks for any suggestions or help you can give.
