Go w/ teh standard bosch platinums... theyre good plugs and unlike the +4's, they can be gapped

I've seen test reports on the +4s and they suck. After a while the spark begins to jump to only one sidewire (path of least resistance) which carves a trench through the insulator, after that sidewire gets burned up the spark move to the next one until all four are burned up. In the process, the four piece of insulator pie break off and the sidewire also detriorates until it's buried way down in the insulator. In short you've spent $50 on plugs that break in your engine.
Thats a load! I,ve run Bosch 4's in 3 different cars for years. First, a 81 Monte, currently in my Explorer and my 3rd gen. They run great . Good throttle response, and long life. Especially nice in a vehicle thats hard to get at plugs.

I look ast it like this, I change my plugs every year.. Why waste 2 dollars or more per plug.. I use stock AC delco's gapped slightly bigger. It would be better to index your plugs instead of +4's or splitifres..
STOCK PLUGS RULE....

When I bought my 91 it had +4s in it. Didn't run bad or anything. Changed to regular AC Delco and it ran the same. I just won 8 free Bosch Platinum +4s matched to my car and they are still sitting on my desk. Maybe I'll put them in my car again just because they were free but I'd say stick with Delco.
Bosch makes wonderful fuel systems - almost as good as Rochester (if you doubt that, look at their mechanical injection system based on the "stolen" 327 RamJet system from 1964 - they offered them on Porsches in 1970-1978). Their electronics and electrical items are nothing to get all woody over, however. They are adequate, but not premier. Their spark plugs aren't bad, but there are others that are much better.
NGK has much better ceramics and electrodes. NGK has an excellent ceramics program, which is second to none. Many of you may have noticed that I'm not a big fan of our far-eastern competitors and their manufactured products, but I have to give credit where it is due. NGKs are very good spark plugs. They STILL don't offer a spark plug that meets FAA standards, but they probably could if they wanted to. That's likely more than I could say for Bosch, and I'm a second generation German immigrant son. I can't believe Bosch would even market such a snake-oil product as the +4, considering the risk to their reputation.
And Auburn doesn't offer plugs for the automotive market. Only Champion makes FAA-approved and automotive plugs, and they have a lot more experience in spark plugs than anyone else on the planet. This means they have the technology and ability to produce a very good offering.
I'll stick with the Champions for now. When Bosch GMBh starts offering sets like this, I'll be more attentive:

Vader, what do you think about Champions? I've never used them because I've heard they're garbage. I've heard their technology dates back to the 40s.
